Portable Gas
and Vapor Monitors (scroll
down for fixed systems)
 |
The BW GasAlertMicro
is a small, easy-to-use, affordable monitor for 1 - 4 channels (typically LEL, Oxygen, CO & H2S).
Two AA batteries last 16+ hours. We've had great success with this
instrument in municipalities and among contractors.
Chris likes it for our rental pool because it is very durable (rubberized
boot housing) and dependable.
Detachable battery-powered pump available for remote sampling. Accessories
to add may include calibration kit, pump, download kit and rechargeable NiMH
battery kit. |
|

|
The BW
GasAlertMicro 5 is
slightly larger than the Micro, but has a built-in pump for those with a lot
of remote sampling needs.
It can be configured as a Photoionization detector, as well as the
following:
H2S, CO, O2,
SO2, PH3, NH3, NO2, HCN, Cl2,
ClO2, O3, LEL |
 |
The BW GasAlertExtreme
single gas monitor is small and runs 2 years on a camera battery.
Available for: H2S, CO, O2, PH3, SO2, Cl2, NH3, NO2, HCN, EtO, ClO2,
O3, NO |
 |
The BW GasProbe IAQ 4-channel Indoor Air Quality Monitor continuously
and simultaneously tracks CO2, CO, Temp and Humidity.
All channels' information is continuously displayed on the unit's large,
easy-to-read LCD.
Downloads data to a PC via IR port or dongle. Lightweight,
easy-to-hold for extended site surveys and economical.
Available with graphing software included. |
 |
Ion Science's PhoCheck line of photoionization detectors (PID)
can detect down to
parts-per-billion resolution.
Choose the detection range that suits your application and budget, and
upgrade to greater sensitivity if future needs demand it.
The PhoCheck's lightweight, ergonomic design sits well in the smallest of
hands. User-selectable screen formats include large character (for easy
viewing) and graphing.
Optionally
configurable for LEL, Oxygen, CO and H2S as well.

National Draeger's
Chip Measurement System (CMS) is the technological successor to its
colormetric tube gas and vapor detection technology. Insert a
compound-specific chip into the CMS unit for 10 tests, echoing its heritage
of the traditional 10-tube box of Draeger tubes. Then, sensitive optical
electronics read the capillaries for the presence of the target compound and
display concentration on the LCD with accuracies in the +/- 5% range (w/
2-sigma confidence) -- a far cry from traditional +/- 25% accuracy of its
tubal ancestors!
The CMS is a welcome alternative to glass tube-based detection in
glass-averse environments like food or pharmaceutical plants. |

Our
best-selling sensor head, the intrinsically safe BW GasPoint can be used
alone or with a controller. It is configurable to detect a wide range of
atmospheric hazards and has on-board relays to control alarms and/or
ventilation. The top left rubber button provides non-intrusive calibration
and programming where hazardous areas require it.
Many municipalities
and manufacturers are dispensing with portable confined space gas detectors
in favor of these fixed heads for their increased coverage and ease of use.

Applications monitoring for oxygen deficiency and toxic gases can be
addressed with the dependable and cost-effective BW IS Plant Rat sensing
head. Intrinsically safe, its two-wire 4-20 mA operation makes it
cost-effective to install. Simple, one-person calibration makes for simple,
cost-effective upkeep. Call for further information. |

If
your application does not require a third-party intrinsic safety rating,
consider the economical BW CD-420 sampling head. Available for a wide
variety of toxic gas hazards, the CD-420's advanced micro-power electronics
deliver superior performance, eliminating false alarms. Its direct linear
output means it is a cost-effective candidate to replace sensors in existing
control systems. With a faster response time, the CD-420 provides reliable
early hazard warnings at an affordable price. Call for further information. |

Want
to detect volatile organic compounds continuously? Ion Science has
introduced the TVOC fixed PID (photoionization detector) head to provide
greater awareness of VOC exposures. ATEX-approved as Intrinsically Safe, the
TVOC provides a 4 - 20 mA output to achieve continuous duty detection.
The diffusion-style
unit precludes the costly installation of sampling tubing. The TVOC features
dual detection ranges of 0 - 100 ppm and 0 - 1,000 ppm |
